PITTSTON — Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez wasn’t in attendance at the Pittston City Little League field on Friday, Aug. 26 at Sullivan Park. However, many of his fans came out to see him, and all of his from the famous movie “The Sandlot.”
The Little League organization hosted a Movie in the Park and showed the 1993 movie on a big screen behind home plate. The concession stand was open, and children were asked to wear their team jersey to represent their town.
There were activities such as dodgeball and kickball.
