First grade students at Martin F. Quinn Primary Center in Hughestown hold Election Day activities

HUGHESTOWN — Students of the Martin F. Quinn Primary Center recently participated in a mock election and wrote about what they would do if they were president.

The event was organized by Mrs. Tiffany Ferentino.

First, the students attended an assembly where they learned about the election process and then each class went to the voting booth to cast their ballot. After voting, each student was given a sticker indicating that they had voted.

Mrs. Gina Federici’s students wrote about what they would do if they were president.

Their presidential promises included Christmas 10 times a year, no math class, candy for lunch, have a pizza party daily, all citizens would be rich, a money give away so parents don’t have to work, and no homework on Mondays.
