EXETER — Wyoming Area Catholic School’s student body will grow by two next week when it welcomes a new instructor, Cat in the Hat, and his things, Thing 1 and Thing 2.

OK, imaginary characters can’t enroll at Wyoming Area Catholic School but the institution does have a week-long list of activities scheduled to celebrate the American children’s author Dr. Seuss. Seuss was born Theodor Seuss Geisel in 1904, and went on to author lasting works like “Horton Hears a Who!” and the aforementioned “Cat in the Hat.” The school’s Seuss Week schedule is as follows:

Monday, Feb. 27: I Can Read With My Eyes Shut Day. Wear a shirt you can read.

Tuesday, Feb. 28: Cat In The Hat Day. Dress Like Cat in the Hat with red, white and black. Wear a hat or Cat in the Hat accessories.

Wednesday, March 1: One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish Day. Wear red and blue.

Thursday, March 2: Green Eggs & Clothes Day. Wear something green. Enjoy a green eggs and ham breakfast at 9 a.m..

Friday, March 3: Reading is Fun in the Sun Day. Bring your favorite books to read with your shades, beach blanket/towel and beach chair. Reading time is 1 p.m.
