PITTSTON — St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 7 Wood St., held its Easter egg hunt April 9. The church thanks Miss Marcia and the volunteers who made the day special for participants. In addition to the egg hunt, attendees took part in a number of egg-related activities, like the dexterity testing egg race and Easter Bunny Bocce.

The next event at the church is Vacation Bible School, held from July 17-21. This year’s theme is Peru and the event is open to all area children.

The church will celebrate its 160th anniversary Nov. 12.
