The mission of the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce is to enhance the growth and development of business and the quality of life in our community by helping to keep our members informed, connected and prosperous.

The chamber organizes and directs the energies of those who believe that a community worth living in is a community worth improving and enables people to accomplish collectively what none could do individually.

Upcoming events

• The Caprari family will celebrates 60 years in business as Duchess Outlet from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11 at the outlet at 75 William St., Pittston.

Duchess Outlet began as a textile manufacturing plant, evolved into a retail clothing outlet, and expanded into heirloom quality toys shipped all over the world.

The community is welcome to this event, which will feature light refreshments and noted state and local officials including state Rep. Michael Carroll.

• The chamber’s Autumn Breakfast Meeting will be held at 7:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18 at St. Anthony’s Parish Center in Exeter.

All Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce members and friends are invited to attend.

Registration for the breakfast will begin at 7:45 a.m., followed by a breakfast buffet at 8 a.m. catered by Grico’s Restaurant. Principal speaker for the event will be state Rep. Michael Carroll.

Invitations have been mailed to all members and friends of the chamber, and the breakfast is open to the public. Reservations can be made by Monday, Nov. 14 by contacting the chamber office.

• Join the Wyoming Area Kiwanis Club, Wyoming Area Key Club, Wyoming Area Builders Club and Wyoming Area Catholic Builders Club for the 22nd Annual Breakfast with Santa and visit to Santa Land from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27 at the Wyoming Area Secondary Center, 20 Memorial St., Exeter.

Tickets will be available at the door. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. Children under 2 years old are free.

• The Women’s Network Holiday Party & Marketplace (the most anticipated Women’s Network event of the year) will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Mohegan Sun Pocono in Wilkes-Barre.

With over 450 attendees and over 30 of your favorite vendors, attendees will be able to shop till they drop while mixing and mingling with friends old and new.

• The chamber’s first-ever Post-Holiday Party will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Holiday Inn-East Mountain in Wilkes-Barre.
