Kosik awarded medal

SCRANTON — Sarah Kosik, Pittston, was recently recognized by The University of Scranton for outstanding academic achievement at an awards ceremony.

Frank O’Hara medals were given to students in their first, second and third years, as well as graduate students, with the highest grade point averages in the Kania School of Management, the Panuska College of Professional Studies, and the College of Arts and Sciences for the 2014-15 academic year. The award is named in honor of the late Frank O’Hara who served the university for 53 years in various administrative positions.

Kosik, an exercise science major with a psychology minor, nutrition concentration, and a guaranteed seat in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Scranton, received a medal for academic achievement for her junior year.

Hosey named to dean’s list

MILLERSVILLE — Curtis Hosey, Wyoming, was named to Millersville University of Pennsylvania’s dean’s list for the 2015 fall semester by maintaining grade-point-average of 3.5 or higher and attempting at least 12 credits of course work.
