WEST PITTSTON: American Legion, Post 542, 1st. Lt. Jeffrey Deprimo, would like to encourage all West Pittston residents to display their American flags during the month of May, which honors Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day. Show all veterans the respect they deserve by displaying your flags during our annual Memorial Day parade on May 29.

WEST PITTSTON/ EXETER: Once again, the combined American Legions of West Pittston and Exeter will be having a Memorial Day Parade starting 11:30 a.m., May 29, at the corner of Linden Street and Wyoming Avenue, West Pittston, and ending at the parking lot of St. Cecilia’s Church, Wyoming Avenue, in Exeter.

We urge everyone to come to St. Cecilia’s parking lot for a short program to remind us all of the sacrifices our men and women have made for our freedom. The program will include taps by the Paci Band, a selection from the Wyoming Area Band, and the Ceol- Mor Bag Pipers.

The parade is open to all local civic groups and veterans. Be involved with promoting nationalism and pride in being an American citizen.
