DURYEA — The Duryea Neighborhood Crime Watch in conjunction with the Duryea, Avoca, and Dupont police departments and crime watch units will hold a National Night Out event, from 3 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8 at Healey Park, Foote Avenue and Wright Street, Duryea.

Features of the event are the state Attorney General Office-Bureau of Consumer Protection, Pittston City Fire Department, Smoke House, Lackawanna College Police Academy Cadets, Rothrock’s Kung-Fu and Tai-Chi Academy martial arts demonstration, and a bounce house obstacle course for children.

For those wishing to participate in the procession to the Healey Park, assemble at the playground in Dupont, across from the borough building, at 2 p.m. The motorcade will proceed through Dupont, Avoca and down Main Street in Duryea.
