A slight chance of rain will remain throughout the day with cooler temperatures moving into the Wyoming Valley.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 51 degrees as of 7:05 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies to start the day.

Today’s chance of rain will be between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m, with a high near 61. Clouds will remain in the area throughout the day with a wind around 9 mph. Tonight will also be cloudy, with a low of 46.

Friday also has a slight chance of rain after 1 p.m. Friday night football may be affected with rain possible. Friday night will see a low around 44 with a chance of rain at 70 percent, mainly after midnight. Amounts between a quarter inch and half an inch are possible.

The weekend will start with a 70 percent chance of rain on Saturday. The high will be near 56. Saturday night will be cloudy with a low of 50.
