Anna McDermott

Anna McDermott, daughter of Robert McDermott, resides in Hughestown. Anna’s best friends are Adriana Alvarado, Marley O’Brien, and Kate Musto. Anna’s personal catchphrase is “be yourself”. She enjoys eating Angelo’s pizza and is a big Reba McEntyre fan. Ellen DeGeneres is someone Anna strongly idolizes.

If Anna could start high school over again she would avoid stressing so much. For Anna, the most challenging part of high school was time management. She describes her high school experience in one word, fast. Anna is a class officer and member of the volleyball and lacrosse teams, as well as Key Club, ICE Club, National Honor Society, Student Council, Art Club, and Zero Conflict Club.

After graduation Anna hopes to succeed in everything she does, and as she becomes an adult she looks forward to moving out of the area.

Haley Norwillo

Haley Norwillo, daughter of John and Holly Norwillo, resides in Duryea. Haley is involved in numerous school activities and holds important leadership positions in the majority of them.

She is the captain of her varsity field hockey and lacrosse teams, a Relay for Life event planner, vice president of National Honor Society, and a well involved member of the Key Club. Haley enjoys Cebula’s pizza and is a big fan of the Zac Brown Band.

Haley is fully satisfied with her time as a Pittston Area student and if given the chance to start high school all over again she says, “I wouldn’t change a thing.” For Haley, the most challenging part of high school was learning to manage her time.

Among many experiences, scoring her 100th lacrosse goal and being on the homecoming court were her favorites. Haley plans on furthering her academic and lacrosse career at Chestnut Hill College next fall.

Chase Shotwell

Chase Shotwell, son of Rhonda Shotwell and Michael Serpe, resides in Avoca. Some of his favorite teachers are Mrs. Corbett and Mr. Russick. Chase’s favorite food is pizza and he is a fan of Insane Clown Posse. His likes playing guitar and idolizes Kid Rock.

Chase’s high school experience has been challenging, but if given the chance to start high school over again he wouldn’t do anything differently. After graduation, Chase plans to attend Luzerne County Community College. When he becomes an adult he is most looking forward to getting married.
