Wet trend will continue through Thursday

A wet trend in the Wyoming Valley will continue through Thursday.

The National Weather Service reported it was 50 degrees at 6:45 a.m. with cloudy skies at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.

The high today will be 56 degrees with showers likely after 8 a.m. There will be a south wind of 6 to 14 mph with a chance of precipitation at 70 percent. Amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch of precipitation is possible.

The low tonight will be 42 degrees with showers before 9 p.m.

The high will be near 50 degrees on Friday with partly sunny skies. Friday night will feature a chance of showers with a low around 35.

The weekend will start with partly sunny skies and a high near 44 with a northwest wind from 11 to 14 mph. The low on Saturday night will be 32 degrees.
