After the rain passes, it’s shaping up to be a calm weekend in the Wyoming Valley.

The National Weather Service reported that it was 49 degrees at 7:12 a.m at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre International Airport. Today will have periods of rain, mainly before 11 a.m., with the high at a mild 51 degrees.

Tonight’s low will be 33 degrees.

Sunday will be a great day for travelling home from the holiday weekend, as the skies stay sunny and clear with a high of 45 and a low near 27.

To begin the work week, Monday will be sunny with a high of 42. Monday night is the next chance for rain. The low will be 36.
