Today will be cloudy but warmer than in recent days in the Wyoming Valley, with a high near 42 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain and sleet is expected Friday night before 1 a.m., switching to rain between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. and then patchy drizzle after 4 a.m., with a low of 34 degrees. The National Weather Service expects little or no sleet accumulation.

The weather projection the next few days:

• Saturday: Patchy drizzle with a high near 40 degrees.
