Aside from some scattered areas of traffic congestion, commuters should have a smooth ride into work and school this morning.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstate 81, while scattered areas of minor traffic congestion are reported on Interstate 476. Routes 315 and 115 are also reporting scattered areas of minor traffic congestion.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of traffic congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, commuters could encounter some traffic congestion on Kidder and Mundy streets.

Downtown, areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and extending onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Hazle Street is reporting minor congestion throughout the area, while North and South Main streets are each reporting some heavy congestion.

Scattered areas of heavy congestion are also reported on North and South River streets.

In Kingston, some heavy congestion is reported on Market Street in the area of South Dawes Avenue. Otherwise, some isolated areas of minor traffic congestion are reported on Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
