Aside from some scattered areas of traffic congestion, commuters should have a smooth ride into work and school this morning.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstate 81 this morning, while scattered areas of minor traffic congestion are reported on Interstate 476.

Minor traffic is reported on Route 315 near East Main Street, but Route 115 is free of congestion.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps. Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, commuters could encounter some heavy congestion Kidder and Mundy streets.

Downtown, scattered areas of heavy congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and extending onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Scattered areas of heavy congestion are also reported on Hazle Street and Carey Avenue, as well as North and South River streets.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor traffic congestion are reported on Wyoming Avenue, while scattered areas of heavy congestion are reported throughout Wyoming Avenue.
