The Sunday Dispatch prides itself on delivering the people of Greater Pittston the best newspaper it can. That all starts with the front page.
Each week, our editors and reporters scratch their heads and decide which is the best photo (or story) that week. That story or photo gets featured on the front page.
In 2015, there were 52 different Sunday Dispatch front pages — everything from Purple Hearts to tomatoes.
Now, we want to hear from you.
From now until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 29, the Sunday Dispatch is sponsoring a contest through Facebook. Our readers will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite front pages of 2015. Maybe it was the Pittston Area vs. Wyoming Area hockey “FACE OFF” issue. Maybe it was Wyoming Area’s “Golden opportunity.” Either way, we’ll find out soon.
The person or persons on the front page with the most votes will receive a high quality velox copy of the page. One winner will be drawn, at random, to receive a $50 gift card from Gerrity’s Supermarket. You must “Like” a front page to be considered for the gift card. All decisions are final and all discrepancies will be resolved by the Sunday Dispatch staff.
In case of a tie, the winner will be chosen randomly between the tying parties.
