Commuters should have a smooth ride into work and school this morning, as only scattered areas of traffic congestion are reported in the area.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476. Minor traffic congestion is reported on Route 315 in the area of East Main Street, as well as Route 115 in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of traffic congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Downtown, scattered areas of minor traffic congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and extending onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Some heavier traffic congestion is reported on North Main Street in the area of East Union Street, while Public Square is reporting minor traffic congestion.

North River and South River streets are also reporting scattered areas of minor traffic congestion, with some isolated areas of heavy congestion also reported.

In Kington, scattered areas of minor and heavy traffic congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the roadways.
