Average gas prices for Feb. 4

The national average gas price continued to fall over night, while the local and state averages didn’t budge.

AAA Mid-Atlantic provided the following data for today’s average gas prices:

• Wilkes-Barre area gas average at $1.98 today, unchanged overnight and down 2 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.32 today, down 2 cents overnight.

• Pennsylvania gas average at $1.99 today, unchanged overnight and down 2 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.33 today, down a penny overnight.

• National gas average at $1.77 today, down a penny overnight, down 5 cents in the last week. Diesel at $2.04 today, unchanged overnight.
