Commuters could encounter some scattered areas of traffic congestion on the way into work and school this morning.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476. Route 315 is reporting scattered areas of minor and heavy traffic congestion, while Route 115 is free of traffic congestion.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, Mundy and Kidder streets are each reporting areas of minor traffic congestion. Spring Street is reporting heavy congestion in the area of Scott Street.

Downtown, Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard are each reporting scattered areas of heavy congestion throughout the roadways. Heavy congestion is also reported on West North Street, as well as North Main Street extending onto Public Square.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor and heavy traffic congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
