Wednesday started with rain, freezing in some areas, in the Wyoming Valley and across Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 38 degrees as of 7:15 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies reported.

Rain will continue throughout the day, with continuing precipitation in the form of both rain and snow on Thursday, with a high of 41 degrees and an overnight low of 20.

Friday will bring a temporary reprieve with no chance of precipitation, periods of sunshine, a high near 27 and a low of 16.
