Minor, heavy traffic congestion could slow the morning commute

Some areas of traffic congestion could add some time onto the commute this morning.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstates 81 and 476. Route 315 is reporting areas of heavy congestion near East Main and Laird streets, while Route 115 is reporting heavy congestion in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps.

Downtown, scattered areas of minor and heavy traffic congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and extending onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Hazle Township is reporting areas of heavy traffic congestion near Carey Avenue and South Main Street.

Elsewhere, minor traffic congestion is reported on North and South Main streets, while East and West North streets are reporting areas of heavy traffic congestion.

North and South River streets area also reporting scattered areas of minor and heavy traffic congestion.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor and heavy traffic congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
