Dupont resident Susan Gregory wasn’t sure what she was going to vote for in the annual Sunday Dispatch Front Page Contest, held via Facebook. She didn’t have a tie to any of the pages.

Therefore, she did something that means a lot to her. She voted for the Sunday Dispatch’s Nov. 15 issue featuring Tom Tigue and the dedication to a flag pole at the Pittston Area Primary Center in his honor. Gregory was chosen at random to receive a $50 Gerrity’s gift card.

The Sunday, Oct. 4 issue featuring Sal Sciandra with the headline “Dashing in pink” received 99 votes and won the annual contest. In all, the Dispatch received more than 800 votes on the photos. In second place was the “Step it up” issue on March 15 featuring the Emerald Isle Step Dancers.
