WILKES-BARRE — Newly elected officers and board members of the Wilkes-Barre Chapter Barbershop Harmony Society were recently installed at its rehearsal site, Brooks Estate Community Center, Wesley Village.

Officers are Phillip Brown, Shavertown, president; Tom Roberts, Kingston, Chapter development/program vice president; Drew Smith, West Pittston, music and performance vice president; Jim Maxwell, Bear Creek, membership vice president; Frank Tunney, Scranton, secretary; Philip R. Tuhy, Wilkes-Barre, treasurer; John Szeghy, Exeter, assistant treasurer; William A. Zdancewicz, Edwardsville, public relations vice president and Justin Shaffern, Kingston, immediate past president.

The chapter will hold its 64th annual concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7 in the Buckingham Performing Arts Center, Wyoming Seminary, Kingston with Phil Brown, Shavertown, chorus director; Justin Davis, Plymouth, assistant director; Gimme Four, guest quartet and past district champions and chapter chorus and quartets.

The chapter invites area men who enjoy singing four part a capella harmonies to join their group. Rehearsals are 7 p.m. Monday evenings. For more information call 570-285-4810 or log on to singwb.com.
