Rain expected into the weekend in the Wyoming Valley

The Wyoming Valley could see some more rain into the weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 41 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.

Clouds will increase today, and rain is likely after 5 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the high will be near 57.

Rain is likely before 8 p.m. tonight, with mostly cloudy skies expected otherwise. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and the low will be around 42.

Mostly cloudy skies will round out the week on Friday, and rain is likely after 4 p.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and the high will be near 55.

Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Friday night, along with a 50 percent chance of rain before 11 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible, and the low will be around 40.

Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with a high near 61. Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Saturday night, along with a chance of rain after 2 a.m. The low will be around 41.

Rain is likely on Sunday and into Sunday night, but no rainfall amounts have been predicted. The high will be near 58, and the low into Sunday night will be near 46.
