Most of Sunday’s outdoor activities will be in jeopardy with the threat of rain.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 44 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport with a light to steady rain falling.

There is a 100 percent chance of rain expected today, mainly before 1 p.m. Showers will remain in the area after 1 p.m. with a high near 51. A half inch of rain is possible. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. with a low near 51.

Rain will stay in the area before 2 p.m. on Monday, then there is a chance of showers later in the afternoon with a high near 63. Chance of rain is 80 percent. A quarter of an inch of rain is possible. Monday night’s low will be 45.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers on Tuesday with a high near 62.
