Rain is expected in the Wyoming Valley through the latter part of the week.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 48 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with light rain, fog and mist reported.

Rain is expected before noon today, followed by a chance of showers into the afternoon hours. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and today’s high will be near 60.

Cloudy skies will carry over into tonight, along with scattered showers. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 48.

Cloudy skies and showers are likely on Wednesday, with up to a quarter of an inch of rain possible. The high will be near 61.

Showers will continue to be likely into Wednesday night, mainly before 7 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 47.

Showers are expected to be likely after 2 p.m. on Thursday, but no precipitation amounts have been predicted. The high will be near 62.

Showers will continue to be likely before 8 p.m. on Thursday night, with a low around 48.
