The Wyoming Valley could see some rain, along with slightly cooler temperatures, throughout the weekend.

The National Weather Service said it was 63 degrees as of 6:54 this morning at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies reported.

Showers, along with some thunderstorms, are possible before 4 p.m. today. Up to half an inch of rain is possible, and today’s high will be near 68.

Partly cloudy skies are expected tonight, with a low around 47.

Showers, along with more possible thunderstorms, are expected throughout Saturday. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and the high will be near 65.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely before 8 p.m. on Saturday night, followed by a slight chance of showers between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 40.

Partly sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, along with a slight chance of showers. The high will be near 54.

Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Sunday night, with a low around 36.
