Silent Yoga May 16
PITTSTON — Silent Yoga Karma Donation Class at the Pittston Memorial Library with Alyssa Miller will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 16 in the John P. Cosgrove Center. An $8 minimum donation is requested and the proceeds from this class will go to benefit the library. Penn Sate Master Gardener Series is back at the Pittston Memorial Library John P. Cosgrove Center with master gardener Marietta Garr. At 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, get to know which garden flowers are best to attract wildlife friends in Northeastern PA. At 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, learn which type of tree to plant in a garden. The price for each seminar is $4 and can be paid in advance or at the door the evening of the event.
Children ages 7 and up are invited to the library for a science activity. The next meeting will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19.
The Fangirls Fan Club will hold a Percy Jackson night at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19. Participants will be making Camp Half Blood necklaces. Registration is mandatory by calling the library and is for teens, boys and girls, ages 12 to 18.
Play K is held at 12:30 p.m. every Monday in the Pittston Memorial Library Activity Room. The six-week interactive program aims to prepare children to enter kindergarten through play. Call the library to register. Children must be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2016 to qualify for the program. This program concludes Monday, May 23.
Book club will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, May 23 to discuss “Where’d You Go Bernadette?” by Maria Semple.
Kids 18 months to age 5 can bring their grownup to the library for a fun story, craft and free play from 6 to 6:45 p.m. on Monday evenings. Registration is required by calling the library. This session concludes Monday, May 30.
Tales on Tuesday with Miss Kristin features age appropriate stories, songs, activities, and free play for infants, toddlers and pre-school age children. Programs are as follows: Books and Babies for ages newborn to 18 months, 9:30 a.m.; Terrific Twos for ages 18 months to 3 years, 10:30 a.m.; Preschool Pals ages 3 to 5 years, 11:30 a.m. Registration is required and sign-ups are available in the children’s wing or by calling our children’s department. eBay class set for May 17
WEST PITTSTON — Join Maria Jiunta-Heck at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 17 in a classroom-style program at the West Pittston Library as she teaches step-by-step instructions on setting up an eBay account while offering tips and tricks to get items sold. Stop by or call the library to reserve a spot.

Get your scare on a little early this year with spooky stories, creepy crafts and ghostly games at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24. Bring unwanted costumes of all sizes for the library’s first ever costume swap. This program is for ages 12 and under. Stop by or call the library to reserve a spot.

WYOMING FREE LIBRARY
‘Tea, Tips, and Treasures’ is May 21
WYOMING — LEGO Club will meet at the Wyoming Free Library from 11 a.m. to noon Saturdays, May 21 and June 25. This program is free, but registrations are required.
An adult cookie decorating class will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 28. Students will be able to decorate “spring themed” cookies. Cost to attend is $20 and registration fee is due the day of the class. Registration is required and space is limited.
The Ravenous Readers Book Discussion group will meet from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4 to discuss the book, “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl. The book discussion is free and open to children in grades 2 through 6. In addition to the book discussion, children will make lickable wallpaper, design a candy bar wrapper and invent their very own candy. Call the library to register.
Fill-a-bag book sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. The cost is $5 per bag and the library is accepting books for the sale.

LAFLIN — The Laflin Library Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 17 in the library for its annual meeting. New members are welcome.
Basics of Essential Oils will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 18. The program will be presented by Jacqueline Fettig who will discuss how essential oils can naturally impact emotional well being and promote a healthier way of life. Call the library to register.
