The Wyoming Valley could get some rain as the weekend approaches, but the chances of rain falling are slim.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 47 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies reported.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected today, along with a slight chance of showers after 9 a.m. Today’s high will be near 66.

Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into tonight, with a low around 46.

Partly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, along with a 30 percent chance of showers after 4 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the high will be near 67.

Mostly clear skies are expected into Thursday night, along with a 30 percent chance of showers before 8 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 44.

Sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 71. Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Friday night, with a low around 52.
