Sunshine is expected for the rest of the week, but scattered thunderstorms are also in the forecast.

The National Weather Service indicated that it was 50 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.

Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 84. Mostly clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 59.

Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, along with isolated showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. The high will be near 85.

Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Thursday night, along with scattered showers and thunderstorms between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, but higher amounts could fall in thunderstorms. The low will be around 65.

Partly sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, along with isolated showers and thunderstorms before 7 a.m. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are also possible after 2 p.m. The high will be near 86.

Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Friday night, along with scattered showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. The low will be around 67.
