Man tells police his ‘stolen’ car has been returned


HANOVER TWP. — A township man told police his stolen car has been returned.

According to the police report, Hanover Township Police responded to a 911 call from Patrick Peterson„ East Newport Street, Hanover Township, that his stolen 2003 Chrysler P T Cruiser had been returned.

Peterson, 40, reported to police on May 30 that his vehicle was stolen. Peterson told police his roommate, Stacy Kennedy, had come home at 5:40 a.m. with his Chrysler. Kennedy, 42, told police that she had permission to use the Chrysler.

Peterson provided a statement to police, and Kennedy was placed under arrest and taken into custody for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. She was arraigned via video. and released on R.O.R. bail

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 21 at 9:30 a.m. before Magisterial District Justice Joseph Halesey.
