Hot temperatures, sunshine predicted for the Wyoming Valley this weekend

    A hot, sunny weekend is in the forecast for the Wyoming Valley.

    The National Weather Service indicated it was 61 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with a few clouds reported.

    Mostly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 81. Clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 54.

    Sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with a high near 83. Clear skies will carry over into Saturday night, with a low around 60.

    Sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 88. Clear skies are predicted for Sunday night, with a low near 60.
