Commuters in the Wyoming Valley could encounter some scattered areas of traffic congestion this morning.

Areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported in the northbound lanes of Interstate 81 south of Dupont, but Interstate 476 is free of congestion.

Scattered areas of minor congestion are also reported on Routes 315 and 115.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps. The South Cross Valley Expressway is also free of congestion.

In downtown Wilkes-Barre, isolated areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. North River and South River streets are also reporting isolated areas of minor congestion.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported throughout Market Street and Wyoming Avenue.
