Areas of minor, heavy traffic congestion reported on highways this morning

Commuters could encounter some areas of traffic congestion on the ride into work this morning.

Free-flowing traffic is reported on Interstate 81, while isolated areas of minor congestion are reported on Interstate 476.

Isolated areas of minor congestion are reported throughout Route 315, while minor congestion is reported on Route 115 in the area of East Mountain Boulevard.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some could be encountered on the off-ramps. The South Cross Valley Expressway is also free of congestion.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, areas of minor congestion are reported on Kidder, Mundy and Spring streets.

Downtown, isolated areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. Hazle Street is reporting minor congestion throughout the roadway.

Minor congestion is also reported on North Main, South Main, South Franklin and South River streets. Heavy congestion is reported on East Union Street.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
