Line dancing classes with Sue are held at 10 a.m. Mondays. Exercise classes with Catherine and Ruth are held at 9 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Sandi offers chair exercise classes at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and 9 a.m. on Thursdays. There is no charge for these classes.

Ceramic Class with Ann is held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays while Bingo with Ron and Amy is held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday mornings and also from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoons.

Shuffleboard matches are held at 10 a.m. Wednesday mornings where the men challenge the women.

Craft class with Faye and Rosanne is held at 10 a.m. on Thursday mornings, as is Wii bowling with John.

The center offers ballroom dance lessons with Joseph Kull, instructor at 2 p.m. on Thursdays. A small fee is charged.

FALLS ACTIVE ADULT CENTER

Book Club meeting July 11

EXETER TWP. — Lunch & Learn will be held at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 19 with Mary Alice Reeves, MSW, admissions director from Golden Living to discuss how to stay cool when it’s hot at the Falls Active Adult Center.

A staff member from state Rep. Karen Boback’s office will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 20 to conduct a free “Car Fit” assessment. Car Fit has a team of trained technicians or health care professionals who will work with each participant to ensure they “fit” their vehicle properly for maximum comfort and safety. Appointments must be made.

Friday, July 22 will be Western Day and singer and performer Bob Perks will lead a western sing-a-long from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Members can dress in western outfits.

From 10:30 a.m. to noon and from 1 to :30 p.m. Thursday, July 28, Denise Culver from the Association of the Blind will perform free glaucoma screenings. Glaucoma can cause blindness and there are no symptoms. Culver will give an overview of age-related eye disease at lunch.

COSMOPOLITAN SENIORS

Meeting is Aug. 2

EXETER — The Cosmopolitan Seniors, a Project HEAD club, will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2 in St. Anthony’s Center.

Host/hostesses are Frank Balcavage, Rose Gunsior, Frank Onda, and Irene Parini.

Membership is open to adults 50 years of age and older, regardless of residency or religious affiliation. Meetings are normally held on the first and third Tuesday of each month, beginning at 1 p.m. and includes refreshments, bingo and trips.

Interested parties are invited to attend a meeting.

A casino trip to Sands Casino is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 11. Pick ups are in Exeter and Pittston.

It is not required to be a club member to join a trip.

JENKINS TOWNSHIP SENIORS

Meeting will be July 19

JENKINS TWP. — The Jenkins Township Senior Citizens’ organization will hold their regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the Jenkins Township Hose House.

President Jean Mudlock will preside at the business meeting. Following the business meeting, members will enjoy a pizza party.

Acting as hostesses and providing dessert will be Ruth Musto and Joan DeAndriole. Bingo will follow.

New members are welcome.
