PITTSTON — Briana Chikowski, 8, and Ashlyn Loyack, 9, recently competed at the That’s Entertainment Performing Arts Competition at the Holiday Inn in Breningsville.

They competed in the 7 to 9 age duo division and took all first place in duo hip-hop, tap and pantomime. They received solid gold plus medals for their tap and pantomime routines. The duo won platinum medals for their hip-hop dance and were invited to compete at the nationals.

Chikowski won second place and solid gold plus medal for her pantomime, and took fourth place in lyrical. She is the daughter of Brad and Renee Chikowski, West Pittston.

Loyack won all first place for her lyrical, pantomime and hip-hop routines. She won a platinum medal for her pantomime and solid gold plus medals for lyrical and hip-hop. She is the daughter of Steve and Chrissy Loyack, Pittston.

Both girls are competition dancers from the Pittston David Blight School of Dance. They are instructed by Rachel Leandri and Kelli Howatch.
