Commuters could encounter some traffic congestion on the ride into work this morning.

Heavy congestion is reported on Interstate 81 northbound near the North Cross Valley Expressway interchange, but Interstate 476 is free of congestion.

Routes 315 and 115 are each reporting isolated areas of minor and heavy congestion.

The North Cross Valley Expressway is free of congestion, but some heavy congestion is reported on the on-ramp onto Interstate 81 northbound. The South Cross Valley Expressway is also free of congestion.

Near the Wyoming Valley Mall, isolated areas of minor congestion are reported on Kidder, Mundy and Spring streets. Isolated areas of heavy congestion are also reported on Highland Park Boulevard.

Downtown, isolated areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported throughout Wilkes-Barre Boulevard and onto South Wilkes-Barre Boulevard. North Main, South Main, North River, South River and Hazle streets are all reporting areas of isolated traffic congestion.

In Kingston, scattered areas of minor and heavy congestion are reported on Market Street and Wyoming Avenue throughout the borough.
