Exeter students attend camp

DALLAS TWP. – Gianna Colella and Francesca Panunti, both of Exeter, recently attended the second annual Health Sciences Interprofessional Middle School Career Camp for students entering 6-8th grades. the camp was hosted by the College of Health Sciences and Education at Misericordia University.

Students with an interest in the health and medical science fields came to Misericordia University and experienced life on a college campus, and spoke to students and faculty in their fields of interest. They gained firsthand experiences by exploring innovative technologies that enable college students to test their clinical skills on a SimBaby and SimMan in simulation laboratories, and master basic human anatomy, neurology and physiology with the Anatomage virtual dissection table. Middle school students also used equipment specialized to each area of practiced and observed how future health care practitioners develop treatment plans from therapy case studies.

ANNVILLE — Tanner Homa, Exeter, will march with the 2016 Pride of The Valley Marching Band of Lebanon Valley College.

Homa is a Wyoming Area High School graduate and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in music education.
