Aside from a slight chance of showers on Friday and into Friday night, the Wyoming Valley is in store for a sunny weekend.
The National Weather Service indicated it was 55 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.
Areas of fog are possible before 10 a.m. today — otherwise, partly sunny skies are expected. The high will be near 84.
Mostly clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 59.
Mostly sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, along with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. The high will be near 83.
Mostly cloudy skies are predicted for Friday night, along with a slight chance of showers. The low will be around 56.
Mostly sunny skies are expected on Saturday, with a high near 70. Mostly clear skies will follow into Saturday night, with a low around 43.
Sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 67. Mostly clear skies will carry over into Sunday night, with a low around 45.
