The Wyoming Valley could see some rain today and into tonight, but sunshine is expected for the rest of the weekend.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 57 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Mostly sunny skies are expected today, and there will be isolated showers between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and scattered showers and thunderstorms into the evening. Less than a tenth an inch of total rainfall is expected, and the high will be near 82.

Mostly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, along with scattered showers and thunderstorms before 10 a.m. and isolated showers overnight. Less than a tenth of an inch of total rainfall is expected, and the low will be around 55.

Partly sunny skies will gradually become mostly sunny on Saturday, with a high near 69. Mostly clear skies will follow into Saturday night, with a low around 42.

Sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 66. Mostly clear skies will follow into Sunday night, with a low around 42.
