SCRANTON — Pennsylvania American Water customers in parts of Wyoming, Exeter, West Pittston, and Forty Fort might experience temporary service disruptions as crews make repairs in West Pittston.

Crews are repairing a broken valve on a 20-inch water main at the intersection of Luzerne and Linden streets, according to a news release. Crews are working to isolate the break and no customers are currently without water — once the break is isolated, customers might experience no water, low pressure, or cloudy water as crews make repairs.

The water main break caused Montgomery Elementary School to close today.

Customers in the following areas might experience no water, low pressure or cloudy water while the work is being completed:

• Wyoming Avenue between Erie and 1st streets

• Wyoming Avenue between Pearl and River streets

There is currently time no estimate for repairs. Once the work is completed, customers might experience cloudy water for a short period. Customers are asked to run their faucets for a few minutes until the water runs clear.
