Wyoming Valley expected to get a break from the wet weather today


Today’s forecast calls for a brief break in the wet weather, with a slight chance of showers tonight in the Wyoming Valley.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 58 degrees as of 8:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and overcast conditions was reported.

Today is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. There is a slight chance of rain.

Tonight there is a chance of showers, mainly between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Monday calls for a slight chance of showers before 7 a.m., then a slight chance of showers after 9 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 70. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Monday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 51.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies, with a high near 67.

Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 50.
