Clear skies are expected for the rest of the week, but rain could dampen the Wyoming Valley into the weekend.
The National Weather Service indicated it was 45 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.
Patchy fog is possible before 9 a.m. today — otherwise, sunny skies are expected, and the high will be near 72.
Clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 47.
Sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 74. Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Friday night, along with a slight chance of showers after 2 a.m. The low will be near 52.
Mostly cloudy skies are expected on Saturday, along with showers after 2 p.m. A 60 percent chance of rain is predicted, but no rainfall amounts have been predicted. The high will be near 67.
Showers will continue to be likely before 8 p.m. Saturday night, and partly cloudy skies are expected otherwise. The low will be around 47.
Mostly sunny skies will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 61. Mostly clear skies will follow into Sunday night, with a low around 41.
