Temperatures are expected to be much cooler this week, and the Wyoming Valley could even see some frost overnight tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for Luzerne Count from 1 a.m. until 9 a.m. Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 30s, making conditions favorable for frost.

A frost advisory means that areas of frost are expected, and sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 42 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 58. Clear skies will follow into tonight, along with patchy frost into the overnight hours. The low will be around 34.

Sunny skies are expected Tuesday, with a high near 64. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Tuesday night, with a low around 43.

Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday, with a high near 65. Mostly clear skies will carry over into Wednesday night, with a low around 48.
