Yanik receives degree

WILKES-BARRE — Stanley Yanik, West Pittston, recently graduated from the physician’s assistant program at King’s College.

Yanik was one of 61 students to complete the program and he received his degree at the college’s annual summer commencement ceremonies.

At King’s, Yanik was in the Pre-Physician’s Assistant Society and Biology Club, was a consistent dean’s list student and member of Alpha Epsilon Lambda honors society.

He is the son of Stan and Ellen Yanik.

Exter begins student teaching

HUGHESTOWN — Dominique Exter, Suscon, and a student at King’s College, recently began a 14-week student teaching experience at the Pittston Area Primary Center.

Supervised student teaching is required to fulfill King’s education degree requirements and to obtain a Pennsylvania Teacher Certificate.
