Sunshine will kick off the new week in the Wyoming Valley, but there will be a slight chance for some showers into Tuesday.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 44 degrees as of 9:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 54. Mostly clear skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 32.

Mostly sunny skies will kick off the new week on Monday, with a high near 56.

Clouds will increase into Monday night, and there will be a slight chance of showers after 9 p.m. The low will be around 37.

Partly sunny skies are predicted for Tuesday, along with a slight chance of showers. The high will be near 54.

Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Tuesday night, with a low around 37.
