Temperatures are expected to break the 60-degree mark as the week rolls along, and the region could also see some rain.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 30 degrees as of 5:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Partly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 58.

Mostly cloudy will carry over into tonight, along with a slight chance of showers after 2 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 38.

Partly sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday, along with a slight chance of showers before 8 a.m. The high will climb to 64.

Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Wednesday night, with a low around 45.

Thursday will once again bring partly sunny skies, along with a slight chance of showers after 8 a.m. The high will be near 61.

Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Thursday night, along with a 30 percent chance of showers. The low will be around 44.
