Warmer temperatures will hang on through the beginning of the weekend, but rain and thunderstorms are possible on Saturday.

The Wyoming Valley could also see some snow into Saturday night.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 38 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fog and mist were reported.

Patchy fog is expected before 9 a.m. today. Otherwise, partly sunny skies are expected, along with isolated showers before 4 p.m. Today’s high will be near 65.

Mostly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, along with isolated showers. The low will be around 49.

Friday will bring mostly cloudy skies to around out the week, along with isolated showers before noon. The high will be near 69.

Those cloudy skies will carry over into Friday night, along with a slight chance of showers after 2 a.m. The low will be around 56.

A chance of showers is possible before 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by showers and a possible thunderstorm between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Some storms could produce gusty winds. The high will be near 61.

The chance for rain will follow before 1 a.m. on Saturday night, followed by a slight chance of rain and snow showers into Sunday morning. The low will be around 32.

Mostly sunny skies will wrap up the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 39. Partly cloudy skies will follow into Sunday night, with a low around 28.
