Temperatures are expected to climb back into the 50s through the midweek, but rain is also likely.

The National Weather Service indicated it was 21 degrees as of 5:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and fair skies were reported.

Clouds are expected to increase today, and the high will be near 47.

Cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with rain likely into Tuesday morning. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 36.

Tuesday will bring rain throughout most of the day, and up to a half an inch of total rainfall is possible. The high will be near 54.

Cloudy skies and show will linger into Tuesday night, with up to a quarter of an inch of rainfall possible. The low will be around 41.

Mostly sunny skies will return on Wednesday, along with a slight chance of showers before 7 a.m. and again after 1 p.m. The high will be near 52.

Partly cloudy skies are predicted for Wednesday night, with a low around 30.
