The National Weather Service indicated it was 50 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and overcast skies are reported.

Scattered showers are expected before noon today, followed by rain likely after noon. Up to a quarter of an inch of total rainfall is possible. Today’s high will be near 57.

Rain will continue to be likely before 11 p.m. tonight, followed by scattered showers overnight. Another quarter of an inch of rain is possible, and the low will be around 52.

Wednesday will bring mostly cloudy skies, along with scattered showers before 7 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible, and the high will be near 70.

Partly cloudy skies will follow into Wednesday night, with a low around 57.

Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, with a high near 75.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected to follow into Thursday night, along with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The low will be around 58.
